Rumour: Mallesons & Clifford Chance Set to Merge “Within Weeks” 
I've heard this one before. At least twice. Maybe third time lucky? I have no idea how the economics of it would work, but the notion strikes me as pretty cool. It would dramatically transform the Aussie legal landscape, which is nearly completely unpenetrated by foreign firms (because it's impenetrable?). The other burning question is what the name of a merged entity might be.
