Internet drives policy rethink – Lindsay Tanner on “peer production” and Web 2.0-ising the government
Tanner is the Minister for Finance and Deregulation (the name of his portfolio is unfortunate given what has happened this year). But shouldn't Senator Conroy be the minister exploring this rather than trying to implement this terrible idea of imposing filters on Australian net users?! And, given that there's now an acknowledgement about the importance of user-generated content, what about copyright reform??
