Article on prosopagnosia, or an inability to recognise faces. I imagine it must be like trying to tell sheep apart from each other - we lack the capacity to easily distinguish between faces of other species. I found it surprising that people can go through so much of their lives with others not realising something stranger than shyness or arrogance was going on.
