Sagacious Advice
I got vaccinated for Meningitis C last week. I hate needles, and Dad had great glee at seeing my reaction when he attached a three inch one to the syringe “just to see the look on my face”. He sent me a follow-up e-mail today:
Please note that you are vaccinated only against the C strain of the bacteria. This
accounts for only about 30% of outbreaks. i.e you don’t have immunity against the other 70%.If there is an outbreak, run.
Gee, thanks Dad.
lol that was nice. y didnt he vaccinate u for the others?
Like Hepatitis C, there is no vaccine for the other strains of Meningitis.
I do believe that there is a vaccine for Hep B.
In the current global environment, evidence is very important:

You should also make the distinction between viral and bacterial Meningitis.
Now if the arbiter of this website would kindly withdraw his previous (incorrect) comment, it would be appreciated. Thankyou, that is all.
Stop babbling, neophyte. I haven’t erred. Perhaps you should be visiting your doctor to check up on your dyslexia.
“Like Hepatitis C, there is no vaccine for the other strains of Meningitis.”
You are giving misleading information to the readers of your website. I can understand if you’re writing about politics, but this is community health. Where are the ethics / integrity in that?I can just see the news story now…”I didn’t know I could be vaccinated against Hep B. I read it on Hear Ye!”
Hence, please admit your error and take back both your comments.
I see your chronic dyslexia has flared up again.
