I've been lurking for a while now, mostly because you write well, and then -- even when you don't write much -- I enjoy the quick links. :)

Yeah, I've been reading your page since 98, back when I started my first place on the web. I've been around through all of the ups and downs, though I never really got a following, and have been rather unknown since then. Keep up the good work with your site. I like the new layout a lot better than the last, it's pretty clean.

I've been reading here for some time now, something like three to five years. Maybe more. How did I get here? Long story short, I got online when I was 11, learned HTML when I was 12 and was introduced to a message board at the same time, started making pages at 13, eventually ended up on the same blog as Fuzzi (a group blog that died many a death) and then started reading her page, then yours. X.x I guess even condensed it is long. Anywho, I'm just a geek living in the great state of Washington (in the USA). Except I stopped geeking on computers so much and hit cars. Now I am in Uni and thinking about doing a Plastics and Composites Engineering degree, because I can get in on the car business with less competition and go elsewhere if money so says shall be done.

As a long-time reader it frustrates me to have no recollection of how I came across Hear Ye! I remember the year, 1997 - my first year of university, and the wonders of the information superhighway opened before me. I lost and found the site over the next few years, but have been a dedicated reader for about five years. What keeps me coming back? Your writing style, the variety of subjects you write about, and most of all your intelligent, logical, rational perspective.
Thanks for an enjoyable eight years so far!

This website is a far king waste of time.

I think I found this site yonks ago through Lime Jelly too, but I can't remember how I found Lime Jelly!
The part that still gets me though is I live in Campbelltown and after reading your entries, you live in the Camden area. What are the odds?
Plus the fact I recognised the train station in your old Hear Ye! banner :)
Been coming here for years and linked your site to several of my sites I used to run.. but most current is www.wirelessfodder.info - I think this one is staying :)
Keep up the interesting news on your life Stu!

Like most people, I can't remember how I came across your site Stu. I'd say it was sometime about 3 years ago and I've been coming back ever since.
Why? The internet and the world are two very big places with a lot going on. I like using a variety of sources to find out different things that I might not otherwise become aware of. I frequent a couple of people's blogs, and find it a good way of finding out such things.
Keep up the good work and great work on the new design. I was a bit hesitant about it at first, but it is growing on me (although I am still not sure about the colour scheme).

hey stu,
did u get this idea from the girl's toilets at unsw? Apparently there is a set of toilets somewhere in unsw that has this lime green and purple colour scheme..
this has nothing to do with intro's...but erm.. seeing someone made a comment about colour scheme.

For an ex-BIT, you've done quite well.

I sometimes wonder how I would find anything out, but for your quicklinks... But, more importantly, it's good to know what you're up to! Bon voyage, and keep us up to date about your trip. :)

Am a friend of Dorian's - he directed me here to keep updated with this part of the amazing trip, however I've just spent nearly an hour reading so much more. This is fantastic! GW Stu.
I'll be coming back here tomorrow. :D

You have a delightful site! As an experienced traveler as well as an apparent resident of Sydney, do you have any suggestions for us as we are traveling to Sydney in August? No tourest-y things... we're looking for that great place only a local would know about. Thinking about food / fun / art in particular. Sure would appreciate any insights you care to share.
